Point Pleasant Beach, commonly referred to by locals as “Beach”, is a borough located in the northern portion of Ocean County, New Jersey and is part of the town of Point Pleasant. It is situated along a portion of the Barnegat Peninsula that separates the Atlantic Ocean and Barnegat Bay. Point Pleasant Beach is a Jersey Shore community comprised of a total area of 1.72 miles with a 1 mile long boardwalk along the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean. Point Pleasant Beach residents and visitors enjoy points of interest that include Jenkinson’s Aquarium, boardwalk amusement rides and carnival games, live entertainment and seafood and other fare at numerous waterfront restaurants, and recreational activities such as swimming, boating, jet skiing, and fishing in both the Atlantic Ocean and Barnegat Bay.

The population increases significantly during the summer months when vacationers and part-year residents come to the area to enjoy the climate with the average daily high temperature of 85 degrees Fahrenheit in July. Winters are fairly mild with daily temperatures reaching an average high of 41 degrees in January. The average age of residents is 41, the average annual household income is $90,196.00, and the median home price is $359,000.00 although there are homes for sale in almost any price range including numerous luxury and waterfront properties.
